Only the first dress looks slutty to me.The rest are just mainly hot and sexy made for a woman a couple years older . They don't look like prom dresses. Some are ugly.NUMBER 52 IS A JOKE RIGHT? You could not pay me enough to be seen with that girl in that dress looking like that picture. But that's just my opinon from a 58 year old male.
We're not looking at the "Whole Picture" here, we live in an age of date rape drugs, rape is on the rise, if you've ever known anyone or had any experience in the case of rape, one of the first things asked is "What was she wearing"?, like it or not, we still put the victim on trial not the perpetrator. A young woman wearing a very seductive dress like some of the ones shown is making herself a "target", she can be the most innocent young person in the world, but if she's raped in an outfit like some of the dresses shown, she gets on the stand, I guarantee every little thing she's ever done, THIS DRESS will be blown up to make her look like a willing participant instead of an innocent victim.
Frankly, I don't care how great the body, some of these dresses are totally inappropriate for a Prom, it's about having fun, celebrating a milestone, not about seduction, and a parent (while they still can) has to say "No" to an outfit like many of the "barely there" outfits shown.

I graduated in 1982 I wish we had utterly ridiculos & slutty prom dresses, I would have wore one. It would have made prom what it should be. A fun, crazy, celebration and right of passage. I work for a school district & prom now days is a huge disappointment for most of the Seniors they are usually board to tears and leave early and go somewhere else to "really party." If proms were more crazy and fun, maybe they would stay and not leave for more dangerous, unsupervised parties.
Holy Sh@! The very first dress almost knocked me down! That is just totally inappropriate for a High School formal/prom! Jeez -have some class, and some Dignity
Some of those dresses weren't too bad. But of the rest, the ones that weren't totally inappropriate for a teenager (or anyone with any class for that matter), were totally UGLY!! Never in a million years would I let my daughter out of the house wearing some of those dresses. Granted she's only 4, but later on. Even if she's buying the dress with her own money, over my dead body!!!
The ones that are not plainly ridiculos are quite acceptable and kind of cute. As long as the dress is not too short or exposes too much cleavage there is nothing wrong with most of them.
OMG! Are you kidding me? Most of these dresses are disgusting! Some of them might be acceptable though. I have a question about #52!! IS SHE PREGNANT??

Okay I have a teenage daughter looking for a prom dress this year and we are having a hard time finding a decent type. I thought the prom was for looking pretty and attractive, not for seeing who shows the most skin and gets felt over by the boyfriend because he can feel so much skin. Please this is ridiculous. the dress makers should be ashamed of themselves for making this trashy crap. And the parents shouldnt wonder why their daughters get a reputation or end up in trouble when they allow them to dress like that.
Some of these shouldnt be worn by any woman that is decent. Girls can look attractive and classy wearing off the shoulder dresses or one shoulder styles.
Wow dresses sure have changed since my prom in 1986.
Many of these are not necessarily slutty (although some are) ,but most are just plain ugly. I think I saw one attractive dress which was #2.
Unfortunately, this is just another symptom of the problem - our society just keeps tearing women down instead of lifting them up. And, the poor guys who are already struggling with keeping sexually pure end up struggling even more because they are faced with temptation everywhere they look. It's up to us parents to raise our children with morals, self-respect, dignity and compassion. In reality, the girls who will want to wear the 'slutty' dresses are the ones who have no respect for themselves or their bodies. They don't know the real meaning of beautiful. We don't have to conform to what mainstream media says is 'right' or 'sexy.' We can't hide our children from what's out there, but we can teach them values and morals, and guide them to make the right decisions in life.
I find a few of these to be acceptable. The others are either trashy or ridiculous. Personally, in my household what I say goes. If my daughter wanted to wear a dress that was too revealing, I would veto it and she would either find a dress that we can both agree on, or she can choose to wear a dress she already owns or she can stay home. There would be no choice in my house. No, well if you buy it yourself you can dress like a whore. Would she be mad at me...certainly but she'd survive. Just like I survived everytime my parents told me "no". It really is OK to tell your kids NO and stick to it!!
I find aprox. 50% of these to be acceptable, but the rest are nothing more than for attention craving, gameplaying, "let's see who can wear less and show more" confused youths who unfortunately don't know the differance between what is generally known as sexy or slutty (as some of the people commenting don't either) Its not about shocking people or underdressing your friends, it is meant to be one of the special nights where you feel and look Beautiful AND Elegant, a dress that wouldn't be seen at a club but on a red carpet! Not something you could wear any given Saturday night.
