Child's size 3 shoe is not unrealistic either, just out of proportion. A child's size 3 is about the same size as a Womens size 5. A shoe that size should be on a much shorter woman. I wear a Child 3/Women 5 and I am 5 foot 2 inches tall. However with a chest like that on top of such a small waist she would certainly have a backache.
I never wanted to be that thin, but I certainly enjoyed pretending I was the same careers that she had and envied that she was able to do so much.
To 'Teacher', the barbie was made in March 1959... They've shown the barbie doll made full scale, and (I quote here) A standard Barbie doll is 11.5 inches tall, giving a height of 5 feet 9 inches at 1/6 scale. Barbie's vital statistics have been estimated at 36 inches (chest), 22 inches (waist) and 33 inches (hips). That isn't unrealistic, it's just thin... In fact the only thing unrealistic is the feet, which would be a child's size three... There were Barbies when I grew up, and it didn't make me try not to achieve... You know what does that? Not a child's toy, LAZINESS does...
