MaryAnn Check the spelling, hahahahahaha...thats the problem with parents interfering with schooling. Everyone child is special and heaven forbid if they be disciplined or failed. How traumatic. 2nd problem, kids all online and texting instead of out socializing. No social skills whatsoever and that becomes the teachers fault also. Teachers jobs are to present material to learn, not to train, discipline, socialize and raise your kids. How many schools dropped Physical Education because of parental pressure. What did we get, a bunch of fat kids, fat adults. Everyone has an excuse for failing and few strive to succeed. Image all these illiterates trying to get jobs.

I went threw something close to this last year. We are Native American and my son plays baseball. He wanted a mohawk so I gave him one. He wore it up a couple of days and it was a distraction so I agreed to leave it down and not cut it. ( we did it for the simple fact end of school year and baseball and it's plain hot outside) Before the school and I had the conversation that it was a distraction they took my son in the bathroom and washed his hair out without calling to tell me first. If they were to cut my son's hair, they would be given the same haircut they gave my boy.

Yea, I agree with the person who said they would go ballistic! NO ONE disrespects my children in any way, shape or form. If that line is crossed, suffer the wrath of Mama Bear because more than likely if they are a tenured staff member, there will be no repercussion on the School District's end!

well, Mrs. Maryanne you talk about rude had a teacher cut one of my kids hair the wouldn't have any them self cause you talk about a cat fight there would have been , I got three Grandbabies now and one in school and if that child ever come home and said the teacher cut his hair because she said it was to long oh hell no there would be such a mess at that school they'd have to have a lock down I am telling you , how can you say that these coments are rude where did she have a right to cut that childs hair, she is there to teach him not to be his mother.no way hopeful the Mother had the good sense to give her a good ole fashion country woppin. she would have gotton one had it been my child or I would have one......... I don't beleive in fighting but no one lays their hands on my child or grandchild in any way with out either myself or their father and or parnets knowing it, that's just another reason my there are so many homed schooled kids now

Please one and all read the Student Code of Conduct for your school and start demanding changes that when you read it will make you mader (if possible). This document strips any rights your children have. They must tell the truth at all times (LOL like the school district complies with this one), if the school employee "thinks" not proves your student is lying they can send them to detention. If your student tells them his parent should be present (when being interviewed, grilled, accused of doing or knowing something at the school) then they do just like the cops and add on disobedience and causing a disturbance! Also they now claim they trump a parent at any event even off school premises if related in any fashion to education and claim their rules apply off premises. What a load of cow puckies. These are the reasons those highly professional, educated and dedicated teachers do what our common sense says is outright stupid and should be known illegal and immoral to perform.

You would think that people would be smart enough to handle issues properly by now. What a shame and a pity.Nonetheless, I know this and I am probably one fourth of half those peoples ages.

I'M SO GRATEFUL I NO LONGER HAVE LITTLE ONES OR TEENS AT HOME, CAUSE I'D PROBABLY BEEN ARRESTED EVERY WKDAY DEFENDING THE CHILDREN AND TELLING THE TEACHER'S WHERE TO STICK IT, I'M SORRY. WHY DO TEACHER'S ALLOW SUCH MEAN ACTIONS TOWARDS SOME OF THE CHILDREN? WHAT HAPPENED TO THE "GOLDEN RULE" AND KINDNESS?

Consider what the Pilgrims did to the Native Americans before you start spouting off about things you never took the time to understand. You celebrate Thanksgiving because that is what you were taught to do, not because you actually care about its significance or historical facts.

Jordan- the teacher had no right to cut the child's hair. I am a teacher and this is not one of my rights.

No Thanksgiving costumes...seriously....ONE parent complained...This parent should have been given a book about the Pilgrims and told to go home, read it if they can and write a report on WHY they feel this way. Then the parent should have been told.. TOO BAD.. EVERYONE else is fine with the policy. Take your kid out of school if you don't like it !!!School administrators oil the squeaky wheel when they should replace it. Spineless pencil pushers

Okay I'm 16 now but I used to go to a school where the teacher [Mrs. Malek] searched us when 2 pencils that were being awarded to two girls in the class, this was in the 5th grade. She was an idiot I mean they cost less than a dollar!! Teachers these days fail as much as the parents of children now a days.. Sad isen't it?

If I ever hear of a teacher or any adult touching either of my two sons w/out consent/reason, they will be donating their kneecaps. Also, the Nazi uniform thing?!?!? That is the exact reason why I no longer live in L.A. county anymore, and now reside in Birmingham. People in CA, whine and cry about everything!
