Thanks for the sensible cruqitie. Me & my neighbor were just preparing to do a little research about this. We got a grab a book from our local library but I think I learned more clear from this post. I'm very glad to see such wonderful info being shared freely out there.
I'm not a hometown boy but have a cogatte and have been coming to Southampton for over 20 years. Setting aside the information and discussion around the safety of a nuclear waste repository (nwr) important as it is, I'm most concerned about the short-term impact on the community. We have already seen the tension and animosity created by the decision of Council to have Saugeen Shores considered as a possible site. The economic impact on farming, tourism, and local businesss is yet to be determined and certainly will not be positive as the Town proceeds with the next stage in the siting process. Unfortunately, optics and perception are as significant as and often more impactful than reality. The Town needs to have an impact study done asap by a disinterested third party who can present a thorough and unbiased perspective on the full impact of not only locating a (nwr) in Saugeen Shores, but also on even the mere exercise of considering siting one here.
Jeanne, what can I say, you have been such a loyal and regular comeentmr. Even though there have been times when you've popped by to apologize because you've been busy or unwell you are still one of my top comeentmrs! More than that I'd say you were one of my most loyal comeentmrs, someone I know would help me out if I needed it, and that is one of the most powerful dimensions of community, the knowledge that others will be there for you.I know you have created this in a very powerful way in your own blog, and contribute to many communities with your comments all over the blogosphere! Thanks for being a stellar comeentmr Joanna

I assume you doololfw comment author's urls? I know that encourages commenting, but it also encourages spamming. I guess it's a give and take, pro/con deal.I personally nofollow, because of this very thing. I love comments, but I hate spam even more.
